Makeup
My love for makeup started at a later age than most girls as I was roughly seventeen. Growing up I was such a tomboy who enjoyed my sweat pants and playing rough games, I never really cared about my appearance or what other people thought of me. As I got into highschool, I became extremely self-conscious. I constantly felt unpretty compared to my female classmates that were my age. At the age of seventeen I decided to start wearing more makeup than just mascara, which changed my life for the better.I didn't wear makeup to change my appearance nor to hide what I looked like, but i learnt how to enhance features that I already had and to use cosmetics as an art. Makeup made me learn to love the natural features that I already had and to embrace my self-image while still enjoying the art of makeup.
I have a few products that I can never leave my house without! Those products would be mascara, brow pomade, contour, and highlight. My all time favorite mascara is from the company Benefit Cosmetics and it is called Roller Lash Mascara. Then my favorite brow product would have to be the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade in the color taupe. My contour however i'm not picky about the brand as long as it does the job. My highlight however is my favorite product and I use the Ice Cold Skin Frost by Jeffree Star Cosmetics.
Growing up, I did not have many people around me in lmy life who enjoyed makeup and so my influences came from two places. The first is my best friend Kheyra. She found her love for cosmetics from a younger age than I did and so when I wanted to learn more techniques and such, I went to her for inspiration and guidance. The second place and most influential place I found my love for makeup from is youtube. There are so many makeup artists on youtube who do tutorials, challenges, and product reviews.
